We are a commercial kitchen set up for food trucks, caters, and bakers to use as a commissary in the Shoals area. Contact us to set up a tour of our facility that is over 4000 square feet of kitchen.

 
 

Guidelines for Entry for the Shoals Commissary

  1. Make an Appointment with the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) HERE

    The SBDC will help analyze your business model and financial viability. This is a FREE service offered through University of North Alabama.

 
 

The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) provides expert guidance, training, and resources to help entrepreneurs start, grow, and manage their businesses successfully. Their services include business planning, financial analysis, marketing support, and access to funding—all at little to no cost.

If you have purchased a mobile food vehicle and are ready to begin operations:

  1. Your vehicle must be inspected by the FLORENCE FIRE DEPARTMENT Mobile Food Unit

  2. Contact the Lauderdale County Health Department to begin your permitting process to operate.

  3. Complete the onboarding process for the Shoals Commissary

    After receiving your Lauderdale County Health Permit, you will be given a link to register in our system, The Food Corridor. This will allow you to upload all operating documents, method for monthly payment, and scheduling.
